Spring is right around the corner which means warm temperatures are coming! This is a great opportunity for kids to get outside and be active. We want to help you think of activities you and your young preschoolers can get involved in this spring. Here are just a few activities that are perfect for the springtime for preschoolers.

1. Picnic

Picnics are fun for people of all ages, so they can be a great thing to do with your preschoolers! If your young children enjoy tea parties, you could even turn the picnic into a tea party. There are so many ways to make a picnic unique and fun, so make it a family activity to plan, put together, and execute! This is a good way to spend quality time with your little ones.

2. Sidewalk Chalk

Sidewalk chalk is a children’s classic. This is another activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, so you and your children can have fun or you can turn your kids loose to color on the sidewalk (with supervision, of course). There are so many colors and ways to use chalk. We’ve even seen it turned into water paints before! Get creative with your kids and have fun with it!

3. Neighborhood Cleanup

Neighborhood cleanup is a good way to spend quality time with your kids and teach them about serving the community. With the proper cleanup materials like reflective vests, gloves, and trash bags, your children can have fun being together and cleaning up their neighborhood. They can learn the importance of keeping areas clean and refraining from littering.

4. Bike Rides

Another great activity for young children in the spring is to go on family bike rides or teach your kids how to ride a bike. There are many bikes that come with the proper training wheels for young ones, so this is a good opportunity to take advantage of in the spring!

5. A Cookout

A cookout is a great springtime activity to do with your little ones and some friends! It can be a play date for the kids and the adults. This is a fun way to spend time together, roast hot dogs, make smores, and make great memories. Your young children are sure to have fun at a time like this in the warm temperatures of spring.
