Winter is finally here in Mckinney, TX, and sometimes it can get a little too cold for you and your family to play outside. Luckily, there’s still plenty of things you can do inside to have fun with the kids. Here are some ideas of fun indoor winter activities to try when it’s just too chilly to play outside.

Indoor Winter Activities

Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is a perfect activity to keep your kids entertained for hours! Try setting up clues around the house and maybe a treasure chest for them to find at the end. Your kids are guaranteed to have a blast.

Indoor Camping

Setting up an indoor campsite is a fun way to bring outdoor activities inside. If you have space, set up a tent inside or make a fort! Build up the fire for some s’mores at night and grab your sleeping bags. It’s fun for the whole family!

Marble Races

Marble races are a really easy activity to set up that your kids will enjoy. All you need are marbles and pool noodles. Cut the pool noodles lengthwise. Then your marble race track is ready to go!

Make a Reading Nook

If your child loves to read, setting up a comfy reading nook will be the perfect indoor activity for them. You can even add a small bookshelf to hold their stories!

Bake Bread

Bread is a delicious treat that your kids will love, and helping you make it gives them something to do and teach them about baking! You’d be surprised how much science goes into baking.
